I agree: It's each individual's job to look after their own money. However, there is nobody dying in DeFi? I beg to differ. I'd be willing to bet someone that has lost everything has gone on to 'give up.'
As someone though who 'builds' things, I consider it my responsibility to make something that does not hurt people. What Andre does it awesome - I support his efforts, and he deserves the DeFi Person of the Year Award FOR SURE.
However, my stance is still that we should be careful of what we let people play with, and at a certain point, if people are repeatedly getting hurt by what we build, it is upon us to reconsider how we do things... unless we are sociopaths; these rules apply in nearly every industry and behavior actually (again, if we are trying to be 'good' people.)
My intention here is not to criticize AC as much as just discuss our 'behavior' as members of the DeFi community at large.
